Detailed Review

This seems to be the best of the ST range of Buffalo grasses, but it still has problems with chemicals and is generally a weaker Buffalo. It has slightly better winter colour than the previous ST’s, but it still seems to have more problems than it should. Growers seem to be moving away from this grass to the other turf varieties. It sometimes has problems in the transplant phase, and seems to be less drought tolerant. The big question for this grass is; has the breeder fixed the shallow root system, the tendency to drop out and the little drought tolerance that plague the other ST range of grasses? Doubtful. Unless you want a cheap grass, there are better types to choose for your lawn.
